Community of Practice Convenings
A community of practice is a group of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do, and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly. This definition reflects the fundamentally social nature of human learning. – Bev Wenger-Trayner
The annual convening of the STEM Learning Community of Practice provides a vital social opportunity for the community to share concerns and passions around STEM education. The magnet for this meeting is the occasion for Ecosystem leaders to address real time learning needs. The learning that takes place during the convening strengthens the bond among Ecosystems over time. The interactions between Ecosystems produce novel resources that support the ongoing practice of advancing STEM education for all.
