About
STEM-NM is a dynamic network of cross-sector partners committed to making real impact on STEM education and degree attainment in the Albuquerque metropolitan area. Our vision is that all residents of central New Mexico will have access to a highly coordinated and comprehensive system of support to increase their awareness and understanding of science, technology, engineering, math, and health (STEM-H); all students in central New Mexico will engage in high-quality systematic STEM-H educational and career-oriented experiences, both in school and out of school; and all students with an interest in STEM-H fields will persist through a STEM-H course of study.
Key Programs
12 Months of Math – 12 Months of Math is an exciting new program to help Albuquerque families engage with math and help them prepare for good jobs in our local industries like science, technology, and health care. Each month focuses on a different sector, such as agriculture, computer science, finance, and engineering and offers theme-based math events, and resources to help families talk about math in their home.
New Mexico Science Fiesta – The NM Science Fiesta celebrates the amazing world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math with fun family activities for all ages. Over 50 local science, tech, educational, and cultural organizations will offer ways to explore the science of virtual reality, forensics, nature, robots, neuroscience, math, maker science, and much more!
