About

The mission of the Northshore STEM Coalition is to expand quality STEM education opportunities for students in the Northshore region of Louisiana through the synergy of community collaborations. The coalition is a broad partnership of K-12 education organizations, industry, higher education organizations, and community based organizations. A charge of coalition includes increasing community awareness and interest in STEM by promoting and creating STEM events and supporting out-of-school programs in the Northshore region that are accessible to all students aligned with and promoting in-school learning. Together with education and industry partners the coalition assists with developing a scientifically literate workforce that is well prepared to meet workforce needs.
