Author Ruth Spiro will read aloud her picture book, Made by Maxine, and then introduce a “Maker Challenge” using items you already have around your home. No special materials are needed – in fact, participants are encouraged to raid the recycling bin for this fun and creative project!
Through making & tinkering, children learn to creatively solve problems, they develop fine motor skills, improve their critical thinking and logic, and gain experience working collaboratively. This activity is ideal for grades K-5.
