Quincy Brown, STEM Next Office of Science and Technology Policy Fellow, and Zarek Drozda, Data Science Fellow at US Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences, held a roundtable discussion about how ecosystems are working with local school systems to address computer science, data science, quantum education, AI and other technology education initiatives. Additionally, we discussed how Ecosystems keep in touch about the emerging technology needs, are supporting or enhancing educators work in this area, and how Ecosystems are addressing these new fields locally. Quincy and Zarek are interested in learning more about bright spots, as well as potential challenges to addressing equitable access to new or emerging disciplines.
