Tim Sisson joined the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) in 2015 as the K-12 STEM Content Manager. He works diligently towards closing the achievement gap for students across CMSD and Northeast Ohio. It is his goal to ensure that he brings equity to students who lack exposure to and use of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) in their education. He provides a wealth of knowledge and expertise to administrators, teachers, and students to incorporate STEM teaching and learning experiences into their practice. He is a servant leader dedicated to providing the necessary supports and professional development to prepare students for careers in the 21st century global economy. Tim has a diverse education and career background. Graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology, he committed several years to research before completing his Master’s of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Akron (UA). Following his M.S. he served in the College of Education at UA as the STEM Project Coordinator working to develop and implement P-20 STEM learning opportunities and professional development for underserved populations.
